Kujo green onion scented coffee

Green onions have been cultivated since the Nara period and are the oldest of all Kyoto vegetables. Their leaves are soft, rich in flavor and very sweet. In winter, when they are in season, the leaves become thicker and even sweeter.

It has almost no spiciness, which is characteristic of green onions, and you can savor the sweet umami that is unique to Kujo green onions. When heated, it becomes soft, and you can enjoy the corn-like flavor that is not found in raw Kujo green onions. We blended dried Kujo green onions with coffee.

How to use

1. Push the powder down and open the bag along the cut line at the top.
2. Pull the tabs to the left and right to open the spout and pour it over a cup.
3. Fill the inner bag with hot water and let it steep for about 30 seconds. Then pour in boiling water twice more (about 130ml).
